The inn has flagstone floors, roaring open fires and an inglenook fireplace in the oak panelled dining room. A very warm welcome is extended to all - casual passers-by, walkers and their dogs, and visitors to the Peak District. In the bar you will find traditional cask beers, and a good selection of malt whiskys and wines from around the world to suit all tastes. We offer a large choice of bar meals, but you may prefer to linger a while and take advantage of our oak panelled, candle-lit restaurant which offers an interesting and comprehensive menu. We offer dishes from the regular menu such as minted lamb casserole and plaice with mushroom sauce, plus "specials" such as roast sea bass with fennel, and wild boar steak with orange game sauce
